Who We Are:
Christopher A. Michaud (Owner/Partner)
- US army service from 1976-1981, Honorable Discharge.
- Joined Bristol Police Department in Feb 1982 as a part time Officer and full time in Feb of 1985. Numerous letters and commendations received including two Distinguished Service Medals. Retired July of 2010 as a Patrolman.
- Avid gun collector, from older weapons (pistols and rifles) to current model pistols.
- Father of 4 (ages 16-29 years old) and a believer in traditional family values.
Patrick R. Nelligan (Owner/Partner)
- Career Army Reservist with over 28 years of Active and Reserve duty.
- Deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and holds the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Four.
- Among his many awards and decorations, he was awarded two Meritorious Service Medals.
- Disabled veteran and a life member of the DAV, VFW, Reserve Officers Association, Military Officers Association of America, Army of the United States of America.
- He is also a member of the American Legion, and Warrant Officer Association of America.
- Holds an MBA with Healthcare Concentration and two BS degrees, one in Behavioral Science and one in Liberal Studies.
- Has been involved in healthcare for over 25 years and is very active in his community with Veterans Affairs and Civic Pride.
- He has two children and became involved with F.I.R.S.T. under the auspices of making it easier and safer to own and collect weapons, while still allowing responsible government oversight.
Philip DeFrancesco (Technical Advisor & Future Application Specialist)
- 18 years working in the purchase and sale of firearms.
- F.I.R.S.T. can trace its roots to his original idea to streamline and expedite the transaction and registration process of firearms.
- A life-long resident of Waterbury, CT and has one son.
Robert A. Metayer (Technical Consultant)
- 28 years of experience as Police Officer with the Bristol, Connecticut Police (now retired).
- Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer for the past 28 years.
- User of the F.I.R.S.T. software and has been instrumental in its continued development.
- Holds a certification in the Federal Law Enforcement Safety Act.
- Active member of the National Rifle Association, The Gun Owners League of Mass and The Connecticut Police Pistol League.
- Married with 2 children.
Lisa M. Patterson (Webmaster/Business Consultant)
- Twenty years of progressive business experience including the healthcare industry, non-profit and public sectors.
- Project Manager for a variety of initiatives throughout career: claims resolution (over $500,000 in claims resolved), museum case/atrium build for a minor league stadium, organized inaugural auction gala (netted $100,000) for non-profit.
- Strong data management background with emphasis on data reporting.
- Married with two children.
